Very buggy. Multi-Slider is quite nice but buggy. This release seems to have lower quality than the older versions had.
Keep on doing the good work you did before this release - pls.

Extremely buggy and not useful in a dynamic environment. The tabcontainer is an abomination.

We posted a minor update to the AJAX Control Toolkit to address several of the issues described below including the issue concerning performing a build in Release mode.

How about an installer? How about some instructions on upgrading from prior versions? There are a lot of nuts and bolts to this stuff and a readme that says, "just copy and go" just AIN'T ENOUGH! My system is almost completely screwed to the wall, following installation "instructions" like that.

Well... what can I say if I simple replace the dlls and nothing works...... :( Seems like all the controls are renamed and you cannot access them with javascript code directly with names like "ctl00$ContentPlaceHolderMaster$ctl03$RadTreeViewCategorias"
Maybe it's a bug or simply a non-documented style change

Don't you people test this stuff. I am so sick of debugging your code. My managers look at the little samples expecting it to do that and doesn't realize it don't quite work like the sample in a real world application. Again, I am soooooo sick of spending hours in the forum and google to find some OFF THE WALL FIX to make it work in a real world situation. Test your code...I do.

Now I can dump the ComponentArt and Telerik/RadAjax comboboxes. Been waiting for a long time for this one to be available free. Value and Text field being separated was the key. Good work!

I am somewhat unhappy with this release, for a few reasons:
1. It is missing a script file. (NumericUpDownBehavior.debug.js) I had to make a copy of the non-debug version and rename it to NumericUpDownBehavior.debug.js in order to compile.
2. The DLL-only release is missing a PBD file.
3. Scarce number of bug fixes for such a huge stretch of time since the last release.
:-(

This release seems to have been put out before it was ready. The release build crashes Visual Studio. All the comments have been stripped from the javascript. I haven't run into anything that doesn't work yet, but its not very friendly to anyone planning to extend the library.

The only reason I installed this was to use the auto-complete extender and it doesn't even work. How can this be called a stabled version if some components aren't just buggy but doesn't work at all??
Problem described:

I hate to give a rating of anything but 5 stars but this has been the first release that I have been disappointed with. It comes with two solution files.
the first one "AjaxControlToolkit.release.sln" has missing file references for JavaScript files. The second one "AjaxControlToolkit.sln" actually manages to crash Visual Studio doing a release build. In general I found this release buggy.

- Compatible with existing controls

I was using the modal popup extender heavily.
Tried this release, as soon as the popup extender displayed on my page I started to drag it all over the screen (you know, like any smarta$$ user would) and javascript started throwing out errors about scroll position non-existant, etc. The first control I tried broke. I'm sticking to the previous release...

The HTML editor samples were not included with the toolkit.dll, and different sample designs such as removing the bottom bar should be a flag / setting on the editor instead of different controls.

Good for the fixes and additions, especially since I bought the Obout controls and I'm using their editor, among other controls. But only a "fair" because some of us are stuck on 2.0 for the forseeable future, and it'd be nice to get these upgrades available as 2.0 controls, fixes, and minimalizations.
