AJAX Control Toolkit Release Notes - November 2011 Release

Version 51116

November 2011 release of the AJAX Control Toolkit.
  • AJAX Control Toolkit .NET 4 - Binary – AJAX Control Toolkit for .NET 4 and sample site (Recommended).
  • AJAX Control Toolkit .NET 3.5 - Binary – AJAX Control Toolkit for .NET 3.5 and sample site (Recommended).

Notes:
- The current version of the AJAX Control Toolkit is not compatible with ASP.NET 2.0. The latest version that is compatible with ASP.NET 2.0 can be found here: 20229.
- Pages using controls from AJAX Control Tookit .NET 3.5 must use the ToolkitScriptManager, rather than the ASP.NET ScriptManager.
- AJAX Control Tookit .NET 4 cannot be loaded in Visual Studio 2008. It requires Visual Studio 2010.
- When using the Ajax Control Toolkit with Visual Studio 2008, you must have Visual Studio Service Pack 1 installed.

I ftp'd the new DLLs to my web hosting site. What is the the correct Version and PublicKeyToken. Line 94: <add assembly="AjaxControlToolkit, Version=4.1.50927.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=28F01B0E84B6D53E" /> Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:4.0.30319; ASP.NET Version:4.0.30319.272

.NET 3.5 TabContainer works fine for me, but it took me a bit to suss it out from the documentation. Did not try the sample code, just put it into an existing project.

For the aforementioned error on TabContainer. Please do better testing before releasing, particularly for breaking changes.

TabContainer control's OnActiveTabChanged event fires when tab has NOT changed. Not ready for prime-time.

I'm trying to run this under Mono 2.10.6 with xsp4, but get errors. For example, running the sample site and loading the default start page throws this message: http://pastebin.com/NMr0s4RB I saw earlier that somebody confirmed the .NET 3.5 version of the toolkit to work with Mono. Would be great if this one did, too.
