Toolkit Release date

We had mentioned in an earlier update that we will be releasing on the 24th of August. However, we currently are putting this release on hold. It will be tentatively around the 7th of September and release 10824 has been updated to be release 10907.

Here are some of the tasks we need to finish before we can release.
  • Toolkit tests: We would like to get all existing Toolkit tests migrated over to using the new test harness. As all of you may have noticed there have been a lot of check-ins lately by David, Ted and I that add new tests to the Toolkit. Ted has come up with a test tool built on top of an internal testing framework that will allow us to write tests easily. This should help us get more scenario coverage and allow us to make changes to the Toolkit without the fear of breaking existing functionality.
  • Top voted issues: It is important that we have a reasonable number of big ticket work items fixed before we release.
  • WYSIWYG editor: We would also like to add the WYSIWYG editor control to the Toolkit controls suite if it gets completed in the next couple of weeks.
