Reviews for this release

Zero stars, actually. Worthless code monkeys that can't be bothered to release the CORRECT Javascript files -- or even ALL of the Javascript files -- when they're putting together the source code for the release. Thanks for wasting hours of my time trying to track down bugs in your JS files because you're too damned lazy and / or incompetent to put together the RIGHT release build.

There is an unsolved problem regarding UpdatePanel and DropDownList in Internet Explorer. Large DropDownList inside an UpdatePanel slows down page load.

I found a big problem with AsyncFileUpload object when is on a Masterpage who contain UpdatePanel.... ...sometimes (not ever) i obtain message "Unhandled Exception: The file attached is invalid" and i cannot load images....In this way this control is not safe to you think will be corrected ?? thanks for Ajax Control Toolkit !

IT DOES NOT WORK PEOPLE !!!!

Looks like nobody is going to maintain the code working with the browser history. It is so fragile... For example, try to click the back button again during partial post-back caused by the previous click on the back button. The current URL will be changed, but the content of the page will not correspond to this URL.

I have reviewed the source code again, and lots of the defects that affects me have not been fixed yet.

FilteredTextBoxExtender not working in IE9. Had to revert back to previous build. Not to mention that this release requires Asp.Net 4.0. I'll find a workaround to AsyncFileUpload issues on IE9.

The DropShadowExtender breaks on an asynchronous postback. Also, the UpdatePanelAnimationExtender still does not work correctly when multiple UpdatePanels are present on a page. The problem is that the <onUpdating> event fires on every postback instead of only the postback caused by the tagret control. This is true with past releases as well, but I was really hoping to see this issue fixed.

DropShadowExtender looks a whole lot better! But it breaks on a postback..

Never had any problem upgrading the ajaxcontroltoolkit before... Now I get errors like Type 'AjaxControlToolkit.TabContainer' does not have a public property named 'TabPanel'. Just changed the dll... Everything worked fine before.

We have been using 3.0.30930.0 until now. Yes, know there have been releases since, but why change something that works? Now we *had* to upgrade due to fixes for IE9, and then the file upload breaks. We have a form where the user fills in a textbox and selects a file, then clicks Save. In the Save button code behind we (used to) get the file from the upload control, but now .HasFile = false.

This doesn't work for DropShadow for Firefox, Chrome, or Opera? The readme says it uses custom for firefox, and older versions of Chrome...IE 6-9 work the same, but this breaks every other browser as far as drop shadow. Sorry

Working fine so far without any modification to my intranet applications and internet web pages
