AJAX Control Toolkit Release Notes - July 2011 Release

July 2011 release of the AJAX Control Toolkit.
  • AJAX Control Toolkit .NET 4 - Binary – AJAX Control Toolkit for .NET 4 and sample site (Recommended).
  • AJAX Control Toolkit .NET 3.5 - Binary – AJAX Control Toolkit for .NET 3.5 and sample site (Recommended).

- The current version of the AJAX Control Toolkit is not compatible with ASP.NET 2.0. The latest version that is compatible with ASP.NET 2.0 can be found here: 20229.
- Pages using controls from AJAX Control Tookit .NET 3.5 must use the ToolkitScriptManager, rather than the ASP.NET ScriptManager.
- AJAX Control Tookit .NET 4 cannot be loaded in Visual Studio 2008. It requires Visual Studio 2010.
- When using the Ajax Control Toolkit with Visual Studio 2008, you must have Visual Studio Service Pack 1 installed.

What's New?

This release of the Ajax Control Toolkit includes several important bug fixes and introduces a new HTML Editor Extender control. The new HTML Editor Control is HTML5 compatible and works with recent versions of all modern browsers including Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer 6 and newer.

The new HTML Editor can be easily customized and it supports the AntiXSS library for security.

latest AjaxToolkit.dll from codeplex has a fatal bug stops your page working latest version has a big bug and stops pages working background javascript error is this "a._foregroundElement is null" and site hangs. (and no no my page does not include any javascript) after I reback to my old stable AjaxToolkit.dll everything reworked. please fix this problem asap.

Good work but ...The new HTML Editor is very simple to use....but i continue to have problem with AsyncFileUpload.....sometimes it send a error message during the upload.... I could not find nothing about revision of this control in this release...i hope in the next

There are so many issues in Issue Tracker, and lots of them have been over 2 years. Why you have not fixed them? I have to fix some of them by myself while constructing websites, and sometime I am so angry about it.
